Active Air Stream.

When demand for cooling air is low, the air valve inside the Active Air Stream kidney grille remains closed, leading to improved efficiency.

 

Reassuring Power.

With the BMW TwinPower Turbo engine, the BMW 540i Series Sedan delivers a power output of 340 hp and goes from 0 to 100km/h in 5 seconds.

Auto Start Stop.

The Intelligent Auto Start Stop function, included for the first time, only switches the engine off when the stop is expected to last.

Lightweight construction.

Lightweight materials such as aluminium and new aluminium alloys, make this BMW 5 Series Saloon up to 100kg less than its predecessor.

Intuitive controls.

Drivers can use the touchscreen to arrange the six tiles, which include live tiles, while also using BMW Gesture Controls for specific functions.
