The BMW Championship
The Western Golf Association, founded in 1899, is responsible for running the top professional golfing tournaments across North America and is the founder and host of the Western Open, and also runs the BMW Championship. For three consecutive years, from 2012 to 2014, the PGA Tour named the BMW Championship its Tournament of the Year.

The Championship
For those of you who do not take part in the world of golf, the BMW Championship is a professional golf tournament, the third of four FedEx Cup playoff events on the PGA Tour schedule. First introduced in 2007, and previously known as the Western Open, this tournament bears witness to the top 70 PGA Tour golfers, following the Dell Technologies Championship, as they go head to head to try and advance to the Tour Championship, where the FedEx Cup champion will be determined.
FedEx Cup points amassed during the regular PGA Tour season and then during the two preceding playoff events determine the participants, as the top 30 FedEx Cup points leaders following the BMW Championship will progress to the final stages!
Last year’s tournament saw Keegan Bradley of the United States take the win, with a score of 260.
2019 Tournament
The 2019 tournament is fast approaching us as we get revved up for the challenge, pushing our dates forward to the 13th until the 18th of August this summer. As the top 70 golfers embark upon the quest to be the best, BMW will be offering owners of their vehicles exclusive opportunities to join the fray as the Medinah Country Club in Chicago, Illinois plays host to this upcoming year’s best.
